Why we ask for donations

Membership in NYHEN is free, and we are an all-volunteer organization, but we do have expenses. We pay our Internet Service Provider to keep our website online and free of advertising. We also need to cover the costs associated with our informational appearances at conferences and other public events. We depend on the generosity of people like you to cover these expenses. No amount is too small. If you can't afford more than a few dollars, we'll still be grateful for your contribution to our work.

NYHEN members can get information about the organization's income and expenditures by reading the minutes of meetings, which are posted on our members-only NYHEN-Business email list. If you are a NYHEN member but are not subscribed to NYHEN-Business, please send a blank email to NYHEN-Business-subscribe@YahooGroups.com. If you are not a NYHEN member, please join us before requesting a subscription to NYHEN-Business.

How to donate to NYHEN

Checks should be made payable to New York Home Educators' Network. Please send donations to NYHEN's coordinator at this address:

Chris Wheeler
PO Box 24
Sylvan Beach, NY 13157

Because NYHEN has not chosen to register as a charitable non-profit organization, donations are not tax-deductible.
